Notes From Creegh
Episode Two June 8, 2006
Wow! Creegh's locals will be sweltering - Thurs.'s high will be 75! And the low 57 and clear as a bell. But hang onto your hat, because Fri. is going to be windy. Char, I don't think I will take my ruana. Just something else to lose. So everyone weigh in on your thoughts for tomorrow. I think the place is going to be packed! Vickie and I will get there early.
~~Maggie
But didn't we have a grand time last night!? Bridget, I did see the barkeep making eyes at you and aren't we grateful for the service we received. And you were in fine, fine dancing form. The band was grand. Char, who was the curly haired young man with the nice smile (and teeth) we saw you sidling up to? You made a very handsome couple indeed. And then I must ask to where you disappeared? Inquiring minds what to know. And Shirley, you seem to shed all of your worries last night. Nice to let things go. Linda, I saw you in the snug, in deep conversation. Discussing the ways of the world, were you? Anything to report? Isn't it nice that we can all get away every Thurs. night? ~~Maggie
Thank you Pat for picking me up, I'm glad we could be the first ones there. The day was warm but somehow it stayed cool inside. And by evening a shawl felt good on these old bones. T'was grand to see all the locals again, don't they look forward to our calls. What did you think of the fine strap of a man working the bar tonight. He was a great one for the smile and a wink. And when he came around from the bar and started dancing with me, I was astonished. Mmmm I can still feel his hand on my hips, holding me close. Sure t'was grand indeed.
Now I will go to sleep with a smile on my face, and dream sweet dreams. Thanks girls, I had a great time. ~~Bridget
About that curly haired man.....the one with the good teeth......let me just say he has the sweetest way with words....and hands that can work wonders!!! Who was dark haired stranger that kept following you around Pat? I don't think we have seen him at Walsh's before. Do tell!!! ~~Finola
Yes, the dark haired stranger was a very nice man - from Wales, as I recall. Just recently moved to Ireland. But I actually have my eye on the red haired stranger. I see him at the pub every week and I'm having a difficult time getting him to notice me. He seems quite shy. I'm enjoying the flirting, but am so out of practice. 'Tis nice, though, to know that I may have the dark haired stranger to fall back on - no pun intended. ~~~Maggie
Yeah, my friend and I solved the problems of the world in the snug. You know how I love a deep conversation! Sorry I didn't join in all of the dancing, but I was really enjoying the music and the company! He's not the best looking of the beautiful Irishmen at Walsh's, but I'm really enjoying his mind. Great sense of humor! Just startin' to think of his other parts! ~~~Claire
Feel the same about my red haired stranger. He is very much a gentleman (I think), not particularly good looking. He wears his shyness well but I'm hoping for a breakthrough very soon. How much can a girl take? Other parts? I can barely get this one to show his face. ~~~Maggie

I remember when it was so hot there last year. I was so afraid we would get too hot dancin' and stuff. Emphasis on the stuff. Roughly only 63 weeks to go. Better start packin'! Must go to Las Vegas and meet the new sister this coming week. I will actually be glad to get that out of the way. It's kinda been one of those things hanging over my head. A must do, if you know what I mean. It's more important to her than the rest of us. But all will be fine.
Thanks for the update Bridget. Nothing I like more than a trip down this memory lane.
