Notes From Creegh
Episode 3
August 3, 2006
As your self-appointed weather girl, I have decided to add another feature, well actually a day, to my report. It seems that we have grown to expect more of our week in Creegh and are now doing some amount of celebrating on Wed. in addition to Holy Thurs. So, my weather report will give the Wed. forecast as well. I hope you find this useful.
Wed. Mostly clear skies. High 66F, humidity 55%. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph. 20% chance of rain.
Thurs. will be cloudy skies. High 68F and low 52F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. 20% chance of rain.
Now I find these temps to be just perfect. In fact, I could use them a bit cooler. Ya know, cloak weather.
Please let me know if there is something else you would like to see on the weekly weather report. I'm sure I could work it in.
~~Maggie
What time are we leaving today, we should walk there I think, and get a ride home from one of the locals.
~~Bridget
I think the weather sounds splendid. A light shawl will be just the thing. But, Patricia...I, too, long for the time when we can all wear our cloaks!!! Won't we be the talk of the town?
I will be looking especially good tonight when we go out. I get my hair cut today. So....sorry if I steal more than my share of glances this evening, but that happens sometimes! Patricia has been getting alot of attention lately with her weight loss, so I think it's my turn!!!
~~Finola
I was beginning to feel a little conspicuous with all of the attention I was getting. It will be nice to get a bit of a rest from it. Thank you dear Charlotte. Where will we be goin' this evenin'?
~~Maggie
Victoria seems to be able to find the most delightful little places to visit so I think she should again, be our guide. Truth be told....then I don't have to think about anything more than all the fun we will be having.
Dearest Patricia....I hate to be the bearer of unsettling news...but you have not, I repeat have NOT been the center of ALL the attention. If I am not mistaken, our own Linda has been gleaning a fair amount also. And then Victoria seems to catch the eye of all those old gents. And I won't forget that Shirley seems to start out the evenings so quietly, surveying the crowd and then making her move. So glad there is always enough to go around!!!
I am wearing jeans and some top that is full of bright colors for this evenings wanderings. Will find a scarf that matches, of course. I am ready to go anytime now for our evening out. I like the idea of walking there and riding home with "someone."
~~Finola
Perhaps the others are getting their share of attention. I haven't noticed. Enjoying my own little world. So many men, so little time. Of course when you narrow it down to men with good teeth, we don't seen to need so much time.
~~Maggie
Well...didn't we have just the grandest of times last night? I never knew we could get so many people out dancing at one time at Walsh's. Makes me glad they had not started the fire last evening! Even Vickie was shedding clothes like there was no tomorrow. I hope she managed to get all those layers back on in proper order. The green scarf was the perfect one for the evening. I did have to mention to Shirley, when she snuck back in after the break, that her top was inside out. Wonder HOW that happened? Care to share details with us, Shirley?
I have soaked my feet once already today......now if I could just wake up this nice gentleman that escorted me home, I would make him rub them for me.....my feet, ladies...rub my feet!!! Well, for starters anyway.
~~Finola
I can explain Shirley's shirt, she must have just been cooling off in the night air. Yes, that's it.
~~Bridget
Thought Vickie's scarf went well with her bra. I never thought she would dare to peel off that many layers. The music was simply grand last night. I broke the heel on my boot again. I need a good pair of dancing shoes. And yes, Shirley did look a bit disheveled, but her grin told the whole story. I believe a good time was had by all. Especially Linda. We will let her tell the story.
~~Maggie
'Twas a farm hand that Linda disappeared with last evening. Yes, she claims he had very strong hands, a faint smell of cows, but never mind that, and with all the milk he drinks, he has VERY GOOD TEETH!!! Score 1 for Linda! Claims also that after she was finished with him, there was nothing left but his Wellies. I disappeared with no one - saving myself for tonight. I'm ready to go right now. Linda will probably be coming along later. She needs a nap.
