Hopefully Linda won't mind if I use this..........it is so apropos
Sisters of the Auld Sod,
The weather for our night on the town in Creegh will be wind and rain with temps in the mid to low 50s. Please dress accordingly. And please remember Creegh is where Bridget and I first declared our love to one another. 'Tis truly holy ground. I believe the actual spot is on the pavement in front of Walsh's. Drink had been taken.
~ Maggie
Indeed, drink had been taken if we were standin’ outside the pub. Bedad, I don’t even remember anyone declarin’ love for anyone, but then I’m deef an’ all. I’m after diggin’ out one of me wooly sweaters to wear to Walsh’s tomorrow night. It’ll warm up nce the music starts.
~ Claire
Ah sure an I have me green sweater all ready to wear tomorrow night. Will be wearing another shirt under if so when it heats up from all our dancin’ I can shed the wool for a wee bit of time.
Imagine that….drink taken…..who would have thought

Heard last night that Paul McCartney and his wife have split and will seek a divorce. Sad! He had his one true love in his life. He had his Linda and The Mull of Kintyre! That’s really too bad the new marriage failed but, on the bright side, I see that this allows an opening for Char. Of course Paul will be suffering from decreased circumstances with only about a billion in worth after the divorce settlement, and next time he may insist on a pre-nup, but Char is frugal so I’m sure she could learn to live meagerly. Also, Paul is a much older man than Char usually picks but I think she could learn to love him and her health care experiences will serve her very well dealing with an aging husband. By the coincidence of it, a relationship with Sir Paul would definitely benefit Char’s friends with several residences to vacation in too!
~ Maggie
Sure an’ haven’t ya made me laugh out loud yet again. Me neighbors think I’m nuts! For my dearest friends, if I HAD to, I would force myself to forge a relationship with Paul. Me being the kind hearted soul that I am, I am certain he would soon forget what’s-her-name. I’m certain he would want to buy me a wonderful “cottage in Ireland too…just for being the sweet person I am……hahahahaha

So it wasn’t a dream? As finance minister, I must relate that we had indeed drink taken, more than our usual three. T’was a grand evening and I did indeed declare my love to our dear Patricia, and to all crammed into that little car. What were we singing? Feels great to pull off that wool for the dance. Love to ye
~ Bridget
T’was a grand time, indeed., but we will have even more fun tonight. Now if only I could remember where I left me dancing shoes. Wish I shared the same heartfelt sorrow for the McCartney’s, I never cared for Heather much-but then Paul didn’t check with me first. I felt that he married too soon after the death of his beloved Linda. But I do think he’s ready for a ride with Char. I think that once he meets her and he sees how unpretentious she is, he will toss the idea of a pre-nup right out the window. ‘Tis going to be a transitional period for our Sister Char, however, what with having to trade in the stroller for a wheelchair, his legs covered with a lap robe (handmade by Sister Linda), Char preserving is dignity by wiping the drool from the corner of his mouth, all the while the two of them humming the song “When I’m 64”. When ya think about it, much of the care given will be the care of the duty nurse…….and we take the private jet to Ireland! He will never know that we are occupying the other wing of the House. I actually prefer doing Irish fantasies. But this has a lot of the elements for a good story…..an old rich man, a younger woman with perky breasts who just happens to be a nurse, a large estate in England, and four sisters lookin’ for a good time and a place to rest their heads. Yes, now back to Bridget declaring her luv. Yes, she did declare it to the sisterhood as well. Linda you had gone to the other side of the car and just didn’t hear it. Ya do all know that Bridget luvs ya. I’m not sure what color jumper I’ll be wearin’ tonight. But, I intend to get there early and will get “our table”. Who do ya tink will be playin’ tonight? If it’s windy and rainy, we should probably have our cloaks at the ready.
~ Maggie
I have got me clothes all laid out and ready for tonight's trip to Walsh's. I've been practicing my dance steps, too, Shirley. We can't let Bridget have ALL the fun. We will be keeping on eye on Gypsy....both you and the other!!
~ Finola
Never was much of a McCarthy fan. But I would fully support our dear Charlotte in her decision. Sure you would need someone to help you manage your property, we would certainly lift that burden for you.A cloak is a wise decision as the weather can be very unpredictable. Oh I hear the music starting......that'll be 2 Jameson with no ice and a pitcher of water, Bailey's with no ice, pint of Guinness, and did you want a Coke Shirley? Love you!!
~ Bridget
A financial wizard and a barmaid? How did we get so lucky?
~ Maggie
Damn...she is good......
~Finola
Shucks, you girls can lift a girl's day. Big hugs all around
~ Bridget
Did we have a good time at Walsh's tonight? Who did we see and what did we do? Did we flirt? With whom? I know who Shirley was flirting with. And I know who I would flirt with if I had the chance again. Good night!!
~ Maggie
Whooo---eeeeeee! Did we have a good time last night!?! I'm betting I'm the first one up and I doubt a one of us has a voice left. Only got raw nubs for feet from all the dancin', too. What a night!! Didn't ya love when The Gypsy sang acouple songs to Shirley----starin' straight into her eyes---I could feel the sexual tension there! (Fanning myself here just thinkin' about it!) What a coincidence to run into that guy that plays with the local band around here---Martin something! Who knew he was touring Ireland! I saw him follow Vicki out for a smoke acouple times and those must've been really long cigarette's but they both came back in with silly grins and Vicki danced up a storm after that. But it really brought the house down when Paul McCartney walked in! He tried to be cool and not take anything away from the band but it was grand when he sang along. He sorta sidled over next to the wall where Char was standing and there he stayed leanin' against that yellow-orange wall. I'm thinkin' he had one hand on her back somewhere but I'm sure no one else noticed. Subtle! Char just kept that Mona Lisa smile on her face---she is so-o-o good at that! Thankfully, tho, the tabloids didn't find Paul there last night and we're not talkin', right? And, Patricia! Did you notice that fine-lookin' bartender couldn't take his eyes off yerself? Sure now that worked out dandy, didn't it? I don't believe any of the sisters paid for a drink all night long! I'm sure I saw a bit of eye contact between you and him, didn't I? Maybe a knowing smile and a bit of patty-fingers when handin' across the drinks? And who was that other guy that kept hangin' around, too? I, meself, was delighted to find Jimmie playin' his guitar, twinklin' blue eyes and beautiful smile. I loved it when he sang "Whistlin' Gypsy"! Sure, now, I'm going to nudge him here and tell him I'm writin' about him.........
~ Claire
And I thought it was maybe just a dream, but if Linda saw the same as I did.....sure it must be true! Ah...don't wake Jimmie just yet.....let him rest for I'm sure you kept him "up all night"

Thank you Sarah, I see that it needs some refining, it looks like some of the names are wrong, what did you end up doing to add this doc?
Matters not that some of the names maybe wrong. What a delightful "trip down memory lane". I can remember writing some of those entries. We have let our weekly trips slip through our fingers. Granted they had all begun to sound the same, but I still miss them. I find that Irish dreaming takes the sting out of not being there. It truly is my escape. Thanks for providing me with another outlet.
I will take some time to clean things up tomorrow, and chang the names to protect the innocent, not that there's any I know of...
I shall baptise Lin, Siobhan since Sarah hasn't spoke up yet. She shall be Niamh, I love the name and loved the dog. Sorry Sarah, you will have to live it down. Siobhan suits Lin, at least for now until she speaks up.
Because of her love of the citrus fruit, I think we should baptise her Lemon Siobhan. All in favor, say "Aye".
Aye, and delicious she is.
Are there no disputes or discrepancies? Nothing to say for yourselves then? Would you rather not go there or have me do this ladies? I haven't cleaned up my computer for about 2 years. I could just delete. What say ye? I'm thinking it might get even more outrageous. Maybe everyone has there hands full this weekend, I've been a slug and am ready to do Episode 2.
Yes, Bridget this should be an ongoing saga. Do keep it up. Brings tears to me eyes just rememberin' the good old days.
